MEP Coordinator (Mechanical)

Are you an experienced MEP Coordinator with a strong background in large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects We are seeking a highly motivated professional to oversee and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities across complex, multidisciplinary industrial construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading EPC organization involved in major Oil & Gas, Power, Marine, Industrial Plant, and Infrastructure developments.

YOUR ROLE

As MEP Coordinator, you will be responsible in the performance of the following but not limited to duties and responsibilities;

MEP Project Coordination & Integration

• Coordinate and supervise all MEP activities to ensure seamless integration with Civil, Structural, Architectural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to ensure constructability and compliance.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with project specifications, codes, standards, and safety requirements.

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop, monitor, and maintain MEP work schedules aligned with overall project milestones.
• Coordinate site activities to avoid clashes, delays, and resource conflicts.
• Identify potential schedule risks and implement mitigation measures proactively.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Monitor and inspect MEP installation works to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and system validation activities.
• Ensure all MEP documentation, inspections, and quality records are properly maintained.

Resource & Material Management

• Coordinate procurement, delivery, storage, and utilization of MEP materials and equipment.
• Monitor material availability to prevent disruptions to construction activities.
• Ensure efficient deployment of manpower and resources.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the focal point for all MEP-related matters among project teams, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and clients.
• Prepare and present progress updates, technical reports, and risk assessments.
• Drive collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.

Risk & Change Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate MEP-related technical, schedule, quality, and commercial risks.
• Manage MEP change orders and evaluate impacts on project cost, schedule, and resources.
• Implement corrective actions and ensure proper documentation of project changes.

Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure all MEP activities comply with company HSE procedures, client requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Participate in site safety audits and inspections.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout project execution.

Contractor & Vendor Management

• Monitor contractor and supplier performance against project objectives.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with project specifications, schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Resolve technical and contractual issues in coordination with project management.

Commissioning & Handover

• Lead and coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and startup activities.
• Ensure systems are fully operational and compliant prior to handover.
• Support the preparation of as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and final project closeout packages.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in MEP coordination, construction, or project management within Oil & Gas EPC Projects , Industrial Plants , Power Projects , Marine Projects , Civil & Infrastructure Developments.
• Proven experience coordinating MEP works on large-scale, multidisciplinary construction projects
• Experience in material management, contractor coordination, and project execution

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification is advantageous

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of: Mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, Process Utility Systems), MEP installation methodologies, Testing & Commissioning processes, Industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Strong understanding of quality control, safety compliance, and risk management
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
