Mep designer

Role Description The MEP Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves developing detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design drawings and layouts for interior fit out and civil projects, using CAD tools and relevant design standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with project engineers, architects, and site teams to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and aligned with project specifications and local codes. The MEP Designer will review technical documents, perform design calculations, update and revise drawings as needed, and support value engineering and design optimization efforts. The role also includes participating in design reviews, maintaining organized documentation, and providing technical support during construction and installation phases.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Technical Drawing for creating and modifying detailed MEP layouts and schematics.
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) related to building services, system optimization, or new materials and methods.
• Knowledge of MEP design standards, local building codes, and industry best practices, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
• Relevant diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in construction, interior fit out, or MEP contracting environments.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and competency in written and verbal communication in English.
