MEP Draftsman
Role Overview: The MEP Draftsman develops intricate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing layouts crucial for power plants, cooling systems in data centers, and smart grid facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive Mechanical (HVAC, process cooling), Electrical (high/low voltage, cable trays), and Plumbing (fire protection, water supply) drawings.
- Draft Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics, and equipment layout plans for substations and switchyards.
- Develop isometric drawings for process piping and ductwork routing.
- Perform spatial coordination to ensure proper clearances for operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers to route complex underground and above-ground utility networks without interfering with structural elements.
Qualifications & Key Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or MEP Drafting.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP design for power plants, oil & gas, or mission-critical digital facilities.
- Software & Technical Skills: High proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, and Navisworks (for basic clash detection).
