MEP Engineer Facilities Management

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable MEP Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, combined with excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

The ideal candidate will take an active role in maintaining the reliability, efficiency, safety, and performance of building systems, while identifying technical risks, operational gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

Job Summary:

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and optimizing MEP systems across facilities, ensuring effective preventive and corrective maintenance, timely resolution of technical issues, regulatory compliance, and efficient use of resources.

The role requires a proactive engineer who can identify critical technical details, analyze recurring issues, recommend practical improvements, and effectively guide and coordinate technical teams to achieve high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, inspection, and optimization of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building services
• Plan and monitor preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and proper technical follow-up
• Conduct regular technical inspections to identify defects, risks, recurring issues, and opportunities for system improvement
• Troubleshoot complex MEP issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive solutions
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reliability, sustainability, and operational cost
• Ensure MEP systems and maintenance activities comply with applicable safety requirements, technical standards, and regulatory requirements
• Review technical requirements related to installations, modifications, upgrades, testing, and commissioning
• Coordinate with contractors, service providers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure quality and timely execution of works
• Maintain accurate technical records, maintenance reports, asset information, and follow-up documentation with strong attention to detail
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend practical enhancements to maintenance processes, systems, and operational procedures
• Guide, supervise, and develop technicians and junior team members, ensuring proper work allocation, technical standards, and accountability
• Provide management with clear updates on technical issues, risks, maintenance performance, and recommended improvements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant Engineering discipline
• Strong professional experience in MEP engineering and facilities management
• Solid technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
• Proven ability to identify technical risks, operational gaps, and improvement opportunities
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate technical teams, contractors, and service providers
• Experience in energy efficiency, system optimization, and continuous improvement is highly desirable
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced facilities management environment
