Role Description The MEP Procurement and Contracts Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for MEP materials and services, including preparing and issuing RFQs, evaluating supplier proposals, and negotiating commercial terms. Daily tasks include drafting and processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in line with project schedules and specifications. The engineer will review contracts and purchase agreements for compliance with technical and commercial requirements, maintain accurate procurement records, and support cost control and budget monitoring. The role also involves continuous market research for new suppliers, optimizing procurement processes, and contributing to risk management and value engineering efforts to support successful project delivery.
Qualifications

• Strong procurement process skills, including Supplier Evaluation, Request for Quotation (RFQ), and preparing Purchase Orders.
• Excellent Analytical Skills and Communication abilities to assess proposals, negotiate terms, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical and low-current) and their technical specifications.
• Experience in contracts administration, including reviewing commercial conditions, tracking deliverables, and supporting claims or variations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement-related software; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in MEP contracting or construction procurement; experience with fit-out or turnkey projects is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in New Cairo, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail and ethical standards.
