We are looking for a Procurement Engineer (MEP) to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong UAE experience in procuring Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing materials and a solid understanding of contracting project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify required materials and equipment.
- Prepare and issue inquiries to suppliers/subcontractors and evaluate technical & commercial offers.
- Negotiate prices, terms, delivery schedules, and payment conditions to secure the best value.
- Prepare comparison sheets, recommend suppliers, and support management in final approvals.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and project sites to ensure timely material delivery.
- Maintain and update procurement logs, vendor databases, and material tracking reports.
- Ensure all procured items comply with project specifications and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of MEP procurement experience in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials, local suppliers, and market pricing.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (basic), and procurement/ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
