Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate MEP works for landscape, irrigation, and swimming pool projects from design review through to handover.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements related to irrigation systems, pool mechanical/electrical works, pumps, filtration systems, and water features.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth execution on site. Monitor site progress, quality, and safety compliance in accordance with UAE municipality and authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Estidama, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA as applicable).
- Prepare and review technical specifications, BOQs, and cost estimates for MEP components of landscape and pool works. Liaise with authorities for inspections, approvals, and testing/commissioning of irrigation and pool systems.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of pumps, filtration units, chlorination/dosing systems, pool heating, and irrigation controllers.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, technical submittals, inspection requests, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of MEP materials and equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience as a Project Engineer in MEP works, specifically within landscape, irrigation, and swimming pool projects.
- Mandatory experience working with UAE-based contracting firms. Strong knowledge of pool mechanical systems (filtration, circulation, dosing, heating) and irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, controllers, water management).
- Familiarity with UAE regulatory and approval processes (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Estidama, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA). Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant MEP design/coordination software.
- Strong understanding of UAE construction codes and standards related to landscape and pool works.
