Role Overview:

Our client, a Global Cards & Payments firm, is engaged with a leading bank in Riyadh and is seeking to onboard a Merchant Acquiring & Payments Product Manager to drive strategic growth and operational excellence in merchant acquiring and payments business through product management expertise, strategic thinking, stakeholder alignment, and market expansion initiatives to achieve next-level scale in customer acquisition and transaction volumes.

The individual will be responsible for leading critical portfolio and strategic initiatives that drive commercial standardization, product growth, and operational excellence across segments.

The role owns high-priority initiatives end-to-end, supports product commercialization and go-to-market execution, and acts as a key interface between internal stakeholders, external partners, and senior leadership while ensuring compliance with regulatory, audit, and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessment of current Merchant Acquiring and Payment product portfolio and competitive positioning
  • Develop strategic roadmap for product enhancements, new service offerings, and market expansion
  • Implement comprehensive strategies to scale merchant customer base and transaction volumes
  • Develop and execute targeted customer acquisition strategies across various merchant segments (SME, Enterprise, E-commerce)
  • Design and execute market entry strategies for new customer segments and geographical regions
  • Lead market intelligence initiatives to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats
  • Lead and execute critical portfolio and special initiatives, developing action plans to drive commercial standardization across segments.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen in evaluating opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Define product requirements and specifications aligned with aggressive growth objectives
  • Establish comprehensive product performance metrics and KPI frameworks

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution; Postgraduate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the corporate sector, preferably in Payments, Remittances, Banking, or Fintech.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical capability with hands-on experience using MI, analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with the KSA regulatory framework for banks and financial institutions.
  • Proven experience in product commercialization within the payments ecosystem (e.g., wallets, virtual accounts, acquiring products).
  • Strong technical knowledge, including experience working with integration APIs, IT, and operations teams.
  • Experience working in SCRUM / Agile environments; familiarity with project management applications and CRM tools.
  • UX/UI experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Fintech experience is an advantage.
