Job Purpose
To drive the activation, deployment, and growth of Digital Transaction Management (DTM) solutions and Value-Added Services (VAS) across the SME merchant portfolio. The role is responsible for merchant relationship management, portfolio growth, revenue generation, VAS adoption, and stakeholder management while ensuring the achievement of deployment, transaction volume (TPV), and profitability objectives.

Job Purpose
To drive the activation, deployment, and growth of Digital Transaction Management (DTM) solutions and Value-Added Services (VAS) across the SME merchant portfolio. The role is responsible for merchant relationship management, portfolio growth, revenue generation, VAS adoption, and stakeholder management while ensuring the achievement of deployment, transaction volume (TPV), and profitability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
DTM Activation & Deployment Management
- Lead end-to-end activation and deployment of DTM solutions across assigned merchant segments.
- Monitor activation pipelines and ensure timely completion of onboarding activities.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Technology, and acquiring banks to resolve activation-related issues.
- Ensure achievement of deployment targets and activation KPIs.
- Monitor deployment quality and merchant readiness to maximize utilization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants post-deployment.
- Conduct regular engagement sessions with merchants to support adoption and utilization of DTM solutions.
- Address merchant concerns and escalate service-related issues where necessary.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned merchants during the activation and stabilization phase.
- Drive merchant retention and satisfaction initiatives.
- Monitor portfolio performance against TPV, revenue, and activation targets.
- Identify opportunities to increase merchant transaction volumes and product utilization.
- Support cross-selling and upselling of acquiring and value-added services.
- Develop action plans to reactivate dormant merchants and improve portfolio productivity.
- Ensure continuous growth of revenue from both newly activated and existing merchants.
- Drive the adoption and growth of Value-Added Services (VAS) across the assigned merchant portfolio, including digital payment solutions, payment gateways, QR acceptance, SoftPOS, e-commerce solutions, loyalty programs, and other acquiring-related products.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to increase VAS penetration within existing and newly activated merchants.
- Develop and execute merchant engagement plans to maximize utilization of VAS products and services.
- Monitor VAS performance, revenue contribution, and merchant adoption rates, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to launch and promote new VAS offerings within the SME segment.
- Drive achievement of VAS sales targets and contribute to overall portfolio profitability through increased product penetration.
- Coordinate with acquiring banks, implementation teams, operations, risk, and product functions to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of merchant onboarding and activation challenges.
- Participate in business reviews with key stakeholders and strategic merchants.
- Maintain alignment between sales objectives and operational execution.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly deployment and activation reports.

- Provide insights and recommendations to improve portfolio performance.
- Identify bottlenecks impacting merchant activation and deployment timelines.
- Recommend process enhancements to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, acquiring regulations, and card scheme requirements.
- Support strategic projects aimed at expanding DTM adoption and market penetration.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in Payments, Fintech, Digital Banking, Sales Management, Relationship Management, or Project Management are considered an advantage.
- Certifications from Visa, Mastercard, or other payment industry bodies are preferred.
- 4–6 years of experience in Merchant Acquiring, Digital Payments, Fintech, or Sales Relationship Management.
- Proven experience in merchant activation, merchant portfolio management, and customer relationship management.
- Experience managing DTM, POS, SoftPOS, Payment Gateway, E-Commerce, QR Acceptance, or other digital payment solutions.
- Demonstrated track record in driving merchant activation, transaction volume (TPV) growth, revenue growth, and Value-Added Services (VAS) adoption.
- Experience working with acquiring banks, payment schemes, and cross-functional teams within the payment's ecosystem.
- Experience in sales support, portfolio growth, merchant retention, and stakeholder management.
