We are seeking an accomplished Director to join our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Division with regional responsibilities across the Middle East, Europe, and North America. The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Reporting directly to the President in Shanghai, the Director will play a key role in driving origination, execution, and client coverage across complex cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate M&A mandates by leveraging strong networks with corporates, private equity funds, and financial sponsors.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships, positioning ARC as a trusted strategic advisor.
• Lead the full lifecycle of M&A transactions from pitch through due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing.
• Oversee valuation, financial analysis, and preparation of marketing materials to ensure highest execution standards.
• Manage counterparties including clients, investors, legal, and advisors to deliver seamless outcomes.
• Identify and pursue new sector opportunities and contribute to regional coverage strategy.
• Represent the firm at industry events and client meetings to strengthen market presence.
• Mentor Associates and Analysts, set high execution standards, and foster collaboration across global teams.
• Define and implement a strategic vision for the M&A Division, focusing on long-term growth and development.
• Ensure the division stays ahead of industry trends and maintains a competitive edge.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• 812+ years of investment banking experience with a strong focus on M&A and cross-border transactions.
• Proven track record of originating and independently executing complex M&A deals.
• Established client relationships across corporates and financial sponsors.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with board-level exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Commercially driven with strong origination instincts.
• Ability to deliver results under tight timelines.
• Strategic and analytical, with sound judgment in complex deal situations.
• Leader who motivates and develops junior bankers.
