We are seeking a high-calibre, results-oriented professional to join a dynamic organization in the energy and waste management sector, in UAE, as a Manager - Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development. The role will focus on driving growth through strategic investments, M&A activities, and business development initiatives. This position requires global business exposure and the ability to operate effectively across diverse and multicultural markets.
Responsibilities will include:
- Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A, investment, and strategic partnership opportunities within the energy and waste management sectors.
- Lead end-to-end M&A processes, including target screening, due diligence, financial modelling, valuation, and deal execution.
- Drive business development initiatives to expand the company's portfolio in energy and environmental services.
- Support international expansion across emerging and global markets.
- Build and manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to execute strategic transactions and initiatives.
- Prepare and present investment proposals, business cases, and reports to senior management.
- Oversee post-acquisition integration, performance tracking, and synergy realization.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify new growth opportunities.
Key skills and qualifications required:
- Must have Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field, MBA preferred.
- Must have relevant certifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, or FMVA preferred.
- Must have 7 - 8 years of experience in M&A and business development within the energy, utilities, or waste management sectors.
- Proven track record of executing end-to-end M&A transactions and driving BD initiatives in energy and/or waste management.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation (DCF, comparable), and due diligence.
- Solid understanding of energy markets (renewables, power, waste-to-energy, sustainability) and regulatory landscape.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and commercial acumen.
- Experience in cross-border transactions is a plus.
