Job Description
We are looking for a meticulous Metal Works Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing blueprints, assessing materials and labor costs, and preparing accurate estimates for metal fabrication projects.
Job Responsibility
- Reviewing project drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Calculating costs for materials, equipment, and labor needed for metal fabrication projects.
- Communicating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotes.
- Preparing and submitting competitive bids and proposals.
- Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimates.
- Monitoring project costs and making adjustments as needed.
Skills Description
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Metal Works Estimator or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
