Job Summary:
Madkour Utilities Management one of Madkour Group companies seeking to hire a highly qualified Smart Metering Section Head who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and reading of smart meters (Electrical and water), ensuring efficient operation, accurate data collection, and compliance. Key responsibilities include team management and development, performance monitoring, handling escalated technical and customer queries, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards, managing equipment, and contributing to process improvements for operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the smart metering team in day-to-day operations.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of smart meters and related systems.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and utility standards.
- Develop training programs and provide guidance to team members.
- Prepare technical reports, KPIs, and project progress updates for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 912 years of experience in smart metering at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of smart metering technologies, communication protocols, and utility systems.
- Experience with smart grid integration and meter data management systems (MDMS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the utility sector.
- Certifications in project management or smart grid technologies are a plus
