Job Description
Laboratory Performance
- Supervise performance of laboratory activities ensuring consistency, excellence, and, whenever applicable, compliance with ISO-IEC 17025/GLP requirements.
- Supervise and participate in the process of writing, editing, amending, and implementing laboratory procedures to control lab activities.
- Support Lab head in the preparation of internal quality control program and periodically review results to assure proper control of technical processes.
- Review equipment operation protocols, intermediate check procedures, maintenance plan and evaluate their results and reports to guarantee harmonious equipment performance.
- Prepare environmental monitoring programs to and periodically review results to affirm compliance with laboratory safety protocols and international regulations.
Laboratory Personnel
- Supervise the researchers by providing coaching, training, and guidance.
External Customers
- Review customers request to ensure test methods applicability and resources availability.
- Provides correct and timely responses, information, clarifications, and answers to customer inquiries to attain customer satisfaction.
External Suppliers and Services
- Check periodically the availability of lab resources and review purchasing requests including supplies specifications, technical quotations, and inspect compliance of received supplies to requested specifications.
- Participate in preparation of Proficiency Test (PT) plan, and review PT samples results.
- Preparation of equipment external calibration plan, analyzing calibration results compliance to laboratory procedure and international standards
Improvement
- Participate in improving laboratory scope of analysis according to lab resources and NAWAH strategic plan.
- Improve technical skills and knowledge of lab staff by providing references and external training opportunities.
- Stay up to date with Scientific updates/ regulatory requirements.
Sample Testing Activities
- Prepare the development, validation (modification) /verification protocols of testing methods and review the results to ensure usage of reliable methods.
- Monitor implementation of Quality Control samples in each run, and review results to ensure provision of reliable and scientifically valid test results and, whenever applicable, monitor the tracking system for stability studies.
- Review lab results to confirm fulfillment of customer test request.
- Review, whenever applicable, final analysis report/CoA of CRM products and results analysis including statements of conformity or opinions and interpretations of laboratory test results.
- Participate, when required or needed, in samples testing and documentation process.
- Contribute to designing mega scientific projects, implementation and preparation of periodical and final reports.
Must-have
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Very Good command of both written and spoken in English.
- At least 7 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Hands-on experience in Pharma industry.
- Previous experience working under GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) guidelines, with strong understanding of compliance and documentation standards.
- Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
Nice To Have
- Diploma Degree or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with data collection methods, statistical analysis software.
