Role Overview
FutureTEC is seeking a highly experienced and driven Microsoft Practice Lead – Azure to establish, lead, and grow our Microsoft Business Unit, with a primary focus on Azure solutions and services.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building a high-impact Microsoft practice, driving revenue growth, managing the Microsoft partnership, and developing strong technical and commercial capabilities across cloud, data, and application innovation domains.
The role combines business leadership, technical credibility, and go-to-market execution, acting as the central point of ownership for Microsoft-related initiatives within FutureTEC.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Strategy
- Establish and lead the Microsoft (Azure) practice within FutureTEC
- Define the business unit strategy, offerings, and growth roadmap
- Align Microsoft initiatives with overall company objectives
Microsoft Partnership & Ecosystem
- Act as the primary point of contact with Microsoft
- Drive achievement of Microsoft Solutions Partner designations
- Manage certifications, competencies, and partner requirements
- Collaborate with Microsoft on joint opportunities and initiatives
Revenue Growth & Go-To-Market
- Own the Microsoft practice revenue targets and pipeline
- Work closely with Sales, Presales, and Marketing teams
- Define and execute go-to-market strategies for Azure solutions
- Identify and drive new business opportunities
Presales & Solution Leadership
- Lead solution design for strategic opportunities
- Participate in executive-level client engagements
- Position Azure-based solutions aligned with client needs
Team Building & Capability Development
- Build and lead a high-performing Microsoft team, including:
- Azure Solutions Architect
- Azure DevOps Engineers
- Azure Data & AI Engineers
- Define skills, certifications, and capability roadmap
- Mentor and develop technical and presales teams
Delivery Oversight
- Ensure successful delivery of Azure solutions and services
- Maintain high quality, customer satisfaction, and best practices
- Oversee complex or strategic engagements
Required Certifications (Strongly Preferred)
- At least one of the following:
- AZ-305 – Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate
- Multiple Microsoft certifications are highly preferred
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT, cloud, or technology services
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure solutions and ecosystem
- Proven experience in a leadership role (practice lead, head of unit, or similar)
- Experience in presales, solution design, and client engagement
- Strong understanding of Microsoft partner programs and requirements
- Experience building or scaling a business unit or practice
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with system integrators or managed service providers
- Exposure to Data & AI, DevOps, or application modernization
- Experience working with enterprise or government clients
