The Mid-Level Interior Designer collaborates with Senior Designers and Project Managers to develop creative interior design solutions for residential, commercial, and institutional spaces. This role involves translating client requirements into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs while adhering to project timelines and budgets. You will be a crucial role in transforming client visions into reality while contributing to the overall success of the design Studio.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of design concepts and space planning layouts.
- Create mood boards and select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and accessories for each project.
- Familiarity with local vendors, suppliers, materials and specifications. Demonstrate knowledge of industry wide furniture & design suppliers
- Participate in client meetings to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Present design proposals through creative thought processes focused on user experience, materiality, and sustainable approaches, and represents the company's standard quality of design.
- Maintain regular communication to ensure stakeholder satisfaction throughout the design process.
- Coordinate with supplier to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality control.
- Proficient in using design softwares such as AutoCAD, Photoshop & InDesign
- Knowledgeable about building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to interior design.
- Comfortable developing layouts in AutoCAD. Ability to guide CAD Designers in detailed drawings documents.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and interns as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, materials, and technologies in interior design.
- Comfortable using AI tools to develop design
- Familiarity with designing and preparing CGI briefs for internal/ external visualizers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 3-5 years of experience in interior design, preferably in a design firm or architectural practice.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in conceptualisation, space planning, and material selection.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in design software and familiarity with industry-specific tools and resources.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and client preferences.
- Certification or licensure in interior design may be required based on regional regulations.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
