Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level BI Developer to join our OFSAA (Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI while supporting data integration, reporting, and analytics initiatives within the banking and financial services domain. The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, SQL, and stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable and insightful reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard & Report Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Translate complex business requirements into intuitive visualizations and actionable insights
  • Create executive, operational, and regulatory reporting solutions

Data Modeling & Transformation

  • Integrate and consolidate data from multiple sources, including OFSAA and enterprise databases
  • Develop efficient data models, relationships, and semantic layers
  • Utilize Power Query, DAX, and SQL to transform and prepare data for reporting

OFSAA Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Work closely with OFSAA modules and related financial datasets
  • Develop reports and dashboards supporting finance, risk, compliance, and regulatory functions
  • Ensure accurate mapping and reconciliation between OFSAA and reporting layers

Governance & Security

  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data access controls
  • Ensure compliance with organizational data governance standards
  • Maintain audit-ready reporting and documentation practices

Performance Optimization

  • Monitor and optimize report, dashboard, and dataset performance
  • Improve refresh schedules, query efficiency, and data processing times
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Gather business requirements from finance, risk, compliance, and business teams
  • Conduct workshops and requirement-gathering sessions
  • Provide reporting recommendations and data-driven insights

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and data quality
  • Standardize reporting practices and retire redundant reports
  • Support BI roadmap initiatives and process improvements

Platform Administration

  • Manage Power BI Service workspaces, datasets, gateways, and deployments
  • Support publishing, access management, and report lifecycle management
  • Assist with BI environment governance and maintenance

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Reporting
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with Power Query and DAX
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
  • Experience working with financial services or banking data environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)
  • Understanding of banking, finance, risk, compliance, or regulatory reporting
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases and ETL processes
  • Experience with Azure Data Services or cloud-based BI solutions
  • Knowledge of data governance and information security practices
  • Arabic language proficiency
