Mid-Level Software Testing Engineer - ON SITE (NOT Hybrid - NOT Remotely)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Mid-Level Software Testing Engineer to join our team on-site in Sheikh Zayed.

In this role, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications through manual, API, automation, and performance testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues early and improve product quality.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in manual and automation testing, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to build automation frameworks from scratch using Python-based tools.

Job Responsibilities

Software Testing & Quality Assurance

* Design, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test plans for web applications.

* Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and UAT testing.

* Validate new features and ensure existing functionality remains stable after releases.

* Participate in requirement analysis and provide early feedback to improve product quality.

API, Database & Backend Validation

* Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.

* Validate request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, and business logic.

* Execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and database consistency.

Automation & Performance Testing

* Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, Pytest, and Playwright.

* Build and improve automation frameworks from scratch using Page Object Model (POM) and other design patterns.

* Automate functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test scenarios.

* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

* Design and execute performance, load, and stress tests using Locust.

* Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and help improve test stability and coverage.

Bug Reporting & Documentation

* Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.

* Write clear bug reports with steps, expected results, and actual results.

* Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.

* Maintain test documentation and automation reports.

Job Requirements

Technical Skills

* 3+ years of experience in Software Testing.

* Strong manual testing experience for web applications.

* Good experience with API testing and SQL validation.

* Hands-on experience in automation testing.

* Strong programming skills in Python.

* Proven experience building automation frameworks using Pytest and Playwright.

* Good understanding of Page Object Model (POM).

* Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

* Experience with Git and test reporting tools is a plus.

* Experience with Locust for performance testing.

* Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and authentication.

* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.

* Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.

* ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus.

* Experience with security or accessibility testing is an advantage.
