Mid-senior Accountant

Role Description The Mid-senior Accountant at WOROOD will oversee daily accounting operations, including recording journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts. This full-time, on-site role in New Cairo involves preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The accountant will monitor budgets, analyze variances, assist in cash flow management, and provide financial insights to support business decisions. The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, and contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management and preparation of financial statements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
• Knowledge of local tax laws, compliance requirements, and audit procedures.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, reconciliations, and documentation best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably at mid-senior level and ideally within retail, fashion, or luxury brands.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting business growth.
