The English Teacher (Middle & High) is responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive English language instruction to students in middle and high school. The ideal candidate will foster a love for literature and writing, promote critical thinking skills, and enhance students communication abilities through a variety of instructional strategies and assessments.
- Design and implement lesson plans that are aligned with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students
- Facilitate a classroom environment that encourages student participation, inquiry, and collaboration
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including direct instruction, group activities, and technology integration to enhance learning
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and project-based learning, providing constructive feedback
- Encourage students appreciation for literature and develop their skills in reading, writing, and analysis across diverse texts
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events as required
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree of English language/literature + Teaching Diploma / Bachelor degree of Education specialized in English
Experience:
- Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
Skills:
- Valid teaching certification is necessary
- Strong understanding of English language arts curricula and instructional practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for literature and language
