Role Overview
MNI is seeking an experienced oil market analyst for its global markets team.
The role focuses on physical oil markets and delivers real-time analysis and insight to buy-side and sell-side clients.
Principal Responsibilities
- Provide real-time analysis and actionable insight on global crude and oil products markets, focusing on the Middle East and Asia.
- Monitor physical crude grade pricing and differentials, including Dubai and Murban.
- Analyze the impact of pricing and differentials on waterborne export economics and international arbitrage.
- Interact with clients during the trading day.
- Work with senior energy analysts and the wider oil and energy markets team.
- Contribute to regular thematic research.
- Develop new analytical tools and research products.
- Develop market connections and manage existing relationships.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
- At least five years of relevant markets analytical experience in oil or refined oil product markets is required.
- Ability to deliver insightful and actionable analysis in a pressured real-time environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented working style.
- A master's degree is desirable.
