Job Summary
We are seeking a self-driven and detail-oriented junior professional to support the Middle Office function for our Financial Institutions and Capital Markets business. This role focuses on daily operational support, coordination, and control functions across front office and back office teams. The candidate will gain exposure to deposit, loans, trade finance, custody operations, client onboarding, and regulatory requirements while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and MAS regulations.
Responsibilities
- Collect and verify client data and documents to support onboarding and account opening processes for Financial Institutions and Custody clients
- Input accurate client information into systems to facilitate seamless onboarding
- Prepare indicative deposit pricing to support deposit pricing processes
- Process deposit, loan, interbank placement, and secondary trade finance transactions to ensure timely and accurate execution
- Monitor daily transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies or settlement issues promptly
- Compile and deliver ad-hoc and regular reports to stakeholders to support business transparency and decision-making
- Maintain and execute middle office workflows and standard operating procedures to ensure operational consistency and compliance
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in implementing new systems, processes, or tools to enhance operational efficiency
- Support custody operations by maintaining custody workflows and standard operating procedures to ensure accurate processing
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in financial institutions
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
