Position Overview
The Middle Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of transactional data in the BGN CTRM.
The role focuses on trade and logistics data quality — not risk analysis — ensuring that the BGN CTRM reliably reflects the contractual and economic reality of transactions and supports reporting, accounting, and management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Trade & Data Control
- Perform and/or validate accurate trade entry in the BGN CTRM, ensuring correct capture of contractual terms.
- Control and review logistics and financial data entered by other departments.
- Maintain data integrity throughout the full trade lifecycle.
Logistics & Maintenance
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of shipment, quantity, pricing, and delivery data.
- Coordinate with Operations, Shipping, Trade Finance, and related teams to ensure consistency between contracts and system records.
Data Governance & Controls
- Perform systematic data quality checks and remediate discrepancies.
- Monitor compliance with internal data standards and escalate structural issues.
Workflow & Coordination
- Enforce BGN CTRM workflows and approval processes.
- Act as key contact for transactional data quality matters across departments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 3–7 years experience in commodity trading operations, middle office, trade accounting, or CTRM systems.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and physical logistics.
- Experience with ETRM/CTRM systems
