Responsibility and Focus
Highly skilled Motion Graphics Designer working across a wide variety of short format broadcast and digital content projects. This talent should be able to interpret creative briefs with creative flair and accuracy.
Main Tasks
Technical & Product
Highly skilled in 2D tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Highly skilled in 2D animation including After Effects, Toon Boom, Adobe Animate
Good knowledge in 3D softwares such as Cinema 4D, Blender, Houdini and Maya. With expert level animation in any one of them.
Strong understanding of Animation Principles, Lighting setups, Camera and Composition.
Cell animation/Stop motion/Hand drawn animation is a plus.
Rigging skills are a plus.
Ability to work with live footage, camera tracking. Basic knowledge in tracking tools such as Mocha, Synth Eyes, Boujou.
Scripting knowledge to enhance and work faster.
At times produce drawings, storyboards etc. to visually communicate with clients.
Business Acumen & Operational Efficiency
Create high-quality 2D/3D motion graphics for a variety of projects
Work hand in hand with editor and producer to create motion graphics for a variety of projects that would fit the requirements of a specific video edit
Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines and budget constraints
Continuously strive to improve skillset and push creative boundaries
Breakdown briefs with the editor and producer to understand the requirements and better cater to the agency requirements
Work multiple design projects simultaneously
Innovative & Analytical Mindset
Keeping up on current technology trends and tools (hardware and software) that best suits the production and the agency in the development of a stronger creative technical environment.
Understand the technical limitations of various platforms and devices and create animations accordingly
Creative storytelling ability through video and motion graphics
Take initiative to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions
People & Leadership
Effectively follow the direction and feedback of producers and agency creatives
Gain knowledge and expertise from others in the team to help develop and push the department creatively and technically.
QualificationsHands on experience using post-production and design software such as:-
o Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effect is a must
o Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign is a plus
2+ years experience as an Animator/Video Editor
Ability to design overall creative test assets incl. aesthetics, typography, color, brand, iconography, imagery, layout, and concept sophistication (Owner of the brand's VBL Visual Brand Language/Design Guidelines)
Work across asset types (static, video, animation); review existing content and identify how to pivot into testable assets
Comfortable challenging content strategist and brand team and asking the right questions to push work forward
