Role Summary
We are seeking a Mobile App Product Owner to drive the delivery and continuous improvement of
our mobile applications (iOS/Android). This hybrid PO/BA role bridges business needs, user
experience, and engineering execution—translating strategy into a prioritized backlog, defining
clear requirements, and ensuring high-quality outcomes through iterative delivery.
You will work closely with design, engineering, QA, analytics, operations, and business
stakeholders to deliver features that improve customer experience and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Agile Delivery
• Own and manage the mobile app backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized,
and ready for development.
• Define and communicate product goals, roadmap inputs, and sprint objectives aligned to
business outcomes.
• Write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artifacts (wireframes,
process flows, edge cases).
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning support, and clarify requirements during delivery.
• Partner with engineering to balance scope, timeline, quality, and technical constraints.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and manage trade-offs with transparency and structure.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
• Elicit, analyze, and document requirements using interviews, workshops, journey mapping,
and data review.
• Translate business goals into functional and non-functional requirements (performance,
security, accessibility).
• Define end-to-end flows across mobile app, APIs, authentication, payments, notifications,
and analytics tracking.
• Maintain requirements traceability and ensure delivered functionality matches intent.
Customer Experience & UX Collaboration
• Collaborate with UX/UI to shape user journeys, prototypes, and interaction patterns.
• Ensure experiences are consistent across platforms (iOS/Android) while respecting native
design conventions.
• Advocate for accessibility, usability, and clarity across key user tasks.
Quality, Release & Operational Readiness
• Support QA with test scenarios, edge cases, and defect triage; ensure release readiness.
• Coordinate UAT and stakeholder sign-offs where applicable.
• Monitor post-release performance, customer feedback, and app store reviews; drive
continuous improvements.
• Contribute to incident analysis and remediation planning for production issues.
Data & Performance
• Define success metrics (e.g., conversion, engagement, retention, crash-free sessions) for
features and releases.
• Work with analytics teams to ensure proper event tracking, dashboards, and insights
generation.
• Use data to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and inform backlog priorities.
Core Deliverables
• Well-prioritized backlog, sprint-ready user stories
• Business requirements documentation (as needed)
• User journey maps, process flows, and functional specs
• Acceptance criteria, test scenarios, release notes inputs
• KPI definitions, tracking requirements, and feature outcomes reporting
Required Skills & Experience
• 3–7+ years experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or hybrid PO/BA role with
mobile apps.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery and backlog management.
• Proven ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA, analytics).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills—able to simplify complexity.
• Analytical mindset with comfort using data to make decisions.
Nice-to-Have
• Experience with mobile platform capabilities: deep links, push notifications, in-app
messaging, biometrics, offline mode.
• Experience in regulated or high-availability environments (security, privacy, payments,
identity).
