Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to appoint a
Mobile Maintenance Electrician within the
Drilling Department.
This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on mobile drilling rigs and heavy equipment used in mining operations. The successful candidate will ensure equipment reliability, minimize operational downtime, and support safe and efficient drilling activities.
This appointment offers an opportunity for a technically skilled electrician to contribute to the reliability and performance of drilling operations in a demanding mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform electrical diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on drilling rigs and mobile equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, wiring, and components to identify faults or potential failures.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues to restore equipment functionality efficiently.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
Equipment Reliability
- Ensure all electrical systems on drilling equipment operate safely and efficiently.
- Test and calibrate electrical components and control systems.
- Support mechanical teams during equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and service reports.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure electrical work complies with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to company policies, site regulations, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Additional electrical safety certifications are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 35 years of experience in electrical maintenance of heavy equipment or drilling machinery.
- Experience in mining, drilling, or industrial operations is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in heavy mobile equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance reporting systems.
