About the Role
Food People is partnered with a food and beverage manufacturing company looking for a Modern Trade Manager based in Riyadh to expand its presence in organized retail. The Modern Trade Manager will play a critical role in leading the company's engagement with key hypermarkets and supermarket chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Modern Trade sales approach in alignment with the company's overall commercial goals
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with leading retail chains and hypermarkets across Saudi Arabia
- Drive and lead all commercial negotiations, covering annual contracts, joint business planning, promotional activities, and product listings
- Track and analyze sales performance across Modern Trade accounts, introducing initiatives to enhance growth, distribution, and in store visibility
- Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless planning and execution of commercial plans
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Modern Trade sales team to deliver against targets and uphold high performance standards
- Deliver consistent sales reporting, performance analysis, and business updates to senior leadership
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, systems, and customer engagement within the Modern Trade channel
Key Ingredients
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Solid experience within the Food and Beverage sector in KSA
- Proven track record in managing Modern Trade accounts
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience managing annual trading agreements
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required
