Purpose of the Role
Pearl Pixels is seeking a Monitoring & Systems Officer to support real-time disaster monitoring, manage daily website content, and contribute to social interaction activities on the platform.
This role focuses on ensuring accurate, timely, and continuous updates of disasters, reports, and analytical content on the Relief Center website. It also includes managing the underlying Odoo system, supporting technical configurations, and serving as a backup monitoring officer to guarantee uninterrupted daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor disasters and humanitarian events in real time.
- Validate secondary data and enter updates into the platform.
- Produce Situation Reports (SitReps), briefs, and analytical summaries.
- Assist in preparing analytical maps and visual outputs.
- Serve as a backup monitoring officer to ensure continuity of daily operations.
2. Website Content & Social Interaction
- Update and publish daily content on the website.
- Upload disaster updates, alerts, news, and analytical outputs.
- Support social interaction features and community-facing content.
- Ensure consistency between monitoring data, reports, and website content.
3. Odoo System Management (Techno-Functional)
- Configure and manage the platform using Odoo Developer Mode and Odoo Studio to customize forms, views, and reports according to monitoring needs.
- Translate operational requirements into technical specifications in coordination with the development team.
- Analyze system errors and server logs to identify root causes.
- Manage automated actions, workflows, and access rights to improve data entry and reporting processes.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and technical troubleshooting.
- Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Disaster Management, or a related field.
- 510 years of experience in monitoring, data analysis, information management, or digital systems.
- Techno-functional experience with Odoo is mandatory.
- Experience in humanitarian or emergency contexts is highly desirable.
