We are looking for an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator to manage and optimize databases supporting lending and financial platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure database performance, security, availability, and smooth daily production operations in a regulated and high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain MS SQL Server (2016/2019+) environments.
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and deadlock analysis.
- Manage backups, restores, High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) setups including AlwaysOn and clustering.
- Oversee database security, including roles, permissions, encryption, and audit controls.
- Support deployments, version upgrades, patches, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database best practices and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards for financial data management.
Must-Have Skills:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as an MS SQL Server DBA.
- Strong expertise in T-SQL, query performance tuning, and optimization.
- Solid experience with HA/DR, AlwaysOn Availability Groups, and replication.
- Prior experience working with financial or lending systems (preferred).
- Ability to work onsite with strong stakeholder and cross-team coordination skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and ETL workflows.
- Familiarity with Azure SQL / cloud-based SQL environments.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills for onsite engagement.
