Multidisciplinary BIM Manager

Location: New Cairo, Egypt

Hire Pals is currently partnering with a leading multidisciplinary design consultancy to recruit a Multidisciplinary BIM Manager to join its growing building design team in Cairo.

The role will focus on the development and coordination of high-quality electrical BIM models and technical drawings, working closely with engineers and other design disciplines across a range of building projects.

Job Purpose

The BIM Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes, standards, and digital delivery across projects. The role ensures compliance with company BIM standards, client requirements, and industry best practices while driving collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated, and efficient project outcomes.

Core Responsibilities (for the portfolio of projects)

Develop, implement, and maintain the company's BIM standards, procedures, workflows, and best practices.

Ensure compliance with ISO 19650, client BIM requirements, and company digital delivery standards.

Lead the BIM execution planning process and oversee the preparation and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

Monitor BIM maturity and identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

• Project Delivery

Provide BIM leadership across multiple projects from inception through project completion.

Ensure models meet the required Level of Development (LOD), information requirements, and quality standards.

  • Oversee model coordination and clash detection activities using appropriate BIM software.

Support project teams in resolving coordination issues and maintaining model integrity.

  • Ensure timely delivery of BIM models and associated project documentation. • Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop BIM Coordinators and BIM Specialists. Allocate resources across projects to meet delivery requirements. Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and technical development of BIM team members.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the BIM function. • Quality Assurance
  • Establish and monitor BIM quality assurance and quality control procedures. Conduct regular model audits to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
  • Monitor project BIM KPIs and recommend corrective actions where necessary. Maintain consistency of BIM deliverables across all disciplines. • Technology & Innovation
  • Evaluate and implement new BIM technologies, software, and digital workflows. Support automation initiatives using tools such as Dynamo, Python, or other scripting platforms where applicable.
  • Coordinate with IT and Digital teams regarding BIM software, licensing, and technology upgrades.
  • Drive innovation initiatives to improve project efficiency and digital delivery. • Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary BIM representative with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings and technical workshops related to BIM delivery. Collaborate closely with discipline leads and project managers to ensure successful project execution.

• Training & Development

Identify training needs across project teams.

Develop and deliver BIM training programs and technical workshops. Promote awareness of BIM

standards, digital delivery processes, and emerging technologies.

Skills & Core Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Professional BIM certifications are preferred (Autodesk Certified Professional, ISO 19650, building SMART, etc.) Minimum 10 years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC). Minimum 5 years of experience leading BIM implementation on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Previous experience within an international engineering consultancy is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing BIM teams across multiple concurrent projects
