Role Description The Munitions Operations Technician is a contract, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for supporting daily munitions management and operational activities. This position assists with receiving, storing, handling, issuing, and accounting for munitions and related components in accordance with applicable regulations, technical orders, and safety standards. The technician helps maintain accurate inventory records, conducts inspections, and supports the preparation, packaging, and documentation of munitions for transport or use. The role requires close collaboration with supervisors and team members to ensure compliance, safety, and readiness of munitions, while contributing to orderly warehouse operations and proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas. The technician may also support reporting, data entry, and coordination with logistics and quality assurance personnel.
Qualifications
- Experience in munitions operations, including handling, storage, inspection, and accountability in a military or defense environment.
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards, technical orders, and regulatory requirements governing munitions management.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, perform inventory control tasks, and use basic logistics or warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and commitment to safety in high-risk operational environments.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work within structured procedures.
- Prior experience in OCONUS or defense contracting roles is highly beneficial.
- Relevant military munitions training, technical certifications, or vocational qualifications are preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, meet any required security or background checks, and adapt to local operational conditions.
