Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging music lessons that cater to a variety of skill levels and learning styles, from beginners to advanced students
- Teach music theory, composition, and performance techniques, helping students gain a well-rounded musical education
- Organize and direct student performances, ensembles, and school concerts to showcase students talents and achievements
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous development
- Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate music into cross-curricular projects and initiatives
- Create a vibrant and inspiring classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, teamwork, and discipline
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and methodologies in music education to continually improve lesson delivery and student engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field
- Certification to teach music in an educational setting, with a preference for prior teaching experience
- Proficiency in multiple musical instruments and vocal techniques
- Strong understanding of music theory and ability to teach its practical applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and parents
- Passion for music education and a commitment to nurturing students musical journeys
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular music activities and school events
