Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Naval Architect to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and technical oversight of marine vessels and structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop vessel structures, hull forms, and marine systems
- Perform stability analysis, structural calculations, and hydrodynamic assessments
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation
- Liaise with classification societies and regulatory bodies for plan approval
- Support production teams during vessel construction and repair
- Review and approve engineering drawings and technical documents
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.)
- Coordinate with project managers, production staff, and clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in naval architecture or shipbuilding
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, NAPA, Maxsurf, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of classification society rules (DNV, Lloyd's, Bureau Veritas, etc.)
- Experience with structural, stability, and hydrostatic calculations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- UAE experience preferred
