We have an opening for the position of NavCom Service Engineerin a leading Company in Fujairah ,UAE
Job Description: NavCom Service Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of marine navigation and communication equipment including Radar, ECDIS, Gyro Compass, AIS, VDR, and GMDSS.
- Provide onboard technical support to vessels at local and regional ports.
- Perform inspections, testing, and fault diagnosis of navigation and communication systems.
- Ensure equipment operates in compliance with IMO, SOLAS, and flag/state regulations.
- Coordinate with ship staff, port authorities, and office teams for service activities.
- Prepare service reports, test records, and job completion documentation.
- Support emergency breakdowns and attend vessels as per operational requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with marine navigation and communication systems.
- Good understanding of shipboard safety and operational procedures.
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
- Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Familiarity with international maritime standards and regulations.
