To follow and support senior technician and coordinator for all day to day tasks, Test, Inspection, reporting, equipment uses, handing, transportation, and job arrangements and execution arrangement at site.
To visit site or job location to identify the requirements, spot, techniques, precautions, permits approvals, training, and other arrangements for performing the inspection and to confirm the same with customer at site for proper and smooth execution of jobs.
Support and executes the job assigned at sites for daily operational, quality, administrative, HSE, and other project related requirements as applicable.
To follow the company procedures, polices and business interest with proper execution and management of site activities at all the time.
Follow all Safety, Quality, Technical and Operational requirements in handling of equipment, tools and accessories and make sure the compliance all the time.
Notify the senior technician for all site related issues and confirm the actions are completed and/or resolved.
To Communicate and coordinate with site head for arrangements of NDT equipment, transportation, allocation and use at site for smooth execution of project requirements.
To keep good and effective communication with client and contractor representative at all the time and recuse operational compliant by properly executing the assigned tasks at site.
In addition to the above as per company instructions/directions.
Responsible to ensure and follow the company written policies, strategic plans, procedures and work instructions at all the time.
To perform site inspection, testing and inspection with approved procedure and to report the results with proper care.
To follow all legal and other requirements, work instructions, HSE, quality procedures, client requirements, emergency response at all the time.
To report any unsafe act, condition, process, activity, machines, equipment, PPE immediately to supervisor which may cause harm to self, or coworker.
To follow safe journey management system all the time.
To use and maintain all the equipment, machines, tools, spares, accessories, PPE provided reports, inspections records safety all the time.
To identify the hazards, inspect the work area for safe working, and to follow the engineering controls, work instructions, and other requirements.
To follow all Quality controls, quality assurance services for inspections, testing activities as per the written procedures, standard specifications, client approved procedures for the project requirements.
Follow all Radiation Safety, Radiation Emergency, Radioactive Material Transport, Use, Storage, Handling and other associated rules and regulations of radioactive material as set by the company in the respective procedures.
Make sure proper Safety materials and protective devices are available and used, and ensure all equipment is in safe working order.
To use the PPE all the time while working/chances of exposure to hazards which may cause harm /injury.
Self-mentoring on safety requirements and perform toolbox talks at sites.
Be updated with the requirements of Safety, quality, technical and other training and be aware of all rules and regulations set.
Review all accidents incidents and near misses, oversee correction of all unsafe practices and file accident reports.
Conduct on job-site Safety meetings.
Notify the Management for all Safety violations.
Follow the instructions from site coordinators for safe work, technical compliance, quality in work, reporting results ect.
Follow quality system requirements, quality control plans, work instructions, quality control for ensuring quality in service.
Authorities:
Authorized to help in preparing daily progress reports, plan & perform inspections and test according to approved procedures, record the results and to sign in the test reports as assigned by the senior technician.
Authorized to represent /support NDT operations at site and to meet/communicate with the customer for all NDT matters such as planning, performing and reporting of NDT inspection as per the request /instructions from the site with consulting the operations head in NDT.
Authorized to plan, mobilize, arrange NDT equipment, consumables, tools, accessories for smooth execution of jobs after consulting with senior technician, coordinator & NDT section head.
To plan, and arrange the equipment, material, tools, and accessories transportation for NDT team during mobilization, de mobilization, on call job executions, and long-term project requirements.
To follow up, meet and confirm the mode and status of status of equipment with calibrations, verification, and maintenance as required for smooth operational execution of NDT section.
To prepare, execute, maintain, records all site related reports, training, permits, and approval information and to sign in the test reports as supervised by Senior Technicians
Qualification:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
ASNT NDT Level II either UT or RT with other method like MT & PT, as relevant, RPP, & others
Skill to select the NDT technique-Performing, Interpreting & Reporting NDT job.
Familiar of the applicable project specification & procedure.
