Job description:
Job Purpose
To design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications by combining .NET backend development with the Mendix low-code platform. Drives system integration, AI enablement, modernization initiatives, and platform governance while ensuring technical excellence, quality standards, and alignment with business objectives.
Key Accountability Areas
Hybrid Application Development:
- Design and develop high-performance backend services using .NET Core.
- Build and maintain frontend and business applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
- Implement seamless integration between high-code and low-code components.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
AI Integration & Intelligent Solutions:
- Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications, including:
- Large Language Model (LLM) integration (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI).
- Predictive analytics and machine learning models.
- Automated document processing and intelligent workflows.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify AI-driven use cases.
- Ensure secure and scalable AI deployment within enterprise environments.
System Architecture & Integration:
- Design and implement microservices architectures using .NET.
- Develop RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between Mendix applications, .NET services, and third-party systems.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance across distributed systems.
- Contribute to architectural decision-making and technical roadmaps.
Platform Governance & Best Practices:
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Mendix platform.
- Establish and enforce best practices in:
- Model-driven development
- Application security
- Performance optimization
- Scalability and maintainability
- Define development standards, CI/CD processes, and governance frameworks.
Application Modernization & Cloud Migration:
- Lead modernization initiatives for legacy systems.
- Migrate applications into hybrid cloud environments.
- Leverage low-code/no-code (LC/NC) platforms for rapid UI prototyping.
- Utilize .NET for complex business logic and high-performance processing.
- Ensure smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
Mentorship, Quality & Documentation:
- Conduct code reviews and model reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and architectural artifacts.
- Mentor and guide junior developers in both high-code and low-code methodologies.
- Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.

- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
