Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Senior Network Administrator / Network Engineer. The role involves overseeing network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining high levels of network security. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues, managing system configurations, and providing technical support. The role also requires planning and implementing network upgrades and ensuring system and network compliance with security standards.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Network Administration and System Administration to ensure the efficiency and reliability of network and IT systems.
  • Strong skills in Network Security and Troubleshooting to identify, analyze, and resolve potential vulnerabilities or performance issues.
  • Proficiency in providing Technical Support and managing end-user or team technical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and other networking tools and protocols.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with dispersed teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent qualifications are highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

What You'll Do:

  • You will design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and firewalls, while implementing network security protocols, backup strategies, and disaster recovery solutions. You will monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain accurate documentation. In addition, you will collaborate with IT and business teams to optimize infrastructure, support end-users, and stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with network monitoring tools and enterprise IT infrastructure.

Knowledge of cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.

Tools You'll Use:

Primary: Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN, DNS, DHCP

Administrative: Network Documentation Tools, IT Service Management Platforms
