Job Description:
We are seeking a Resident Engineer for one of our customers. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining Cisco Nexus environments and Cisco ACI fabrics, ensuring high availability, secure connectivity, and optimal performance through advanced routing and VPN technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- 24 years of relevant experience as Network Security Engineer.
- Design, deploy, operate, and maintain Cisco ACI fabric networks within complex data centre environments.
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus switches (9000/7000/5000/2000 series) using NX-OS, vPC, and VXLAN overlays.
- Manage and support enterprise-scale routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Implement, manage, and troubleshoot IPsec VPN tunnels and enforce security policies across multiple firewall platforms.
- Monitor network health and performance, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex network incidents.
Mandatory Experience & Skills:
- Strong expertise in advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus platforms, with a strong focus on VXLAN and vPC.
- Proven experience in the implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).
- Demonstrated experience in configuring and troubleshooting IPsec VPN solutions.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with F5 LTM and WAF for application traffic management and web security.
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls and SD-WAN deployments.
Certification:
- CCNP Data Center (Required)
