Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced certifications or postgraduate studies are an advantage.
- 58 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and operations, including configuration and maintenance of firewalls, routing, VPNs, and Azure networking environments.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Juniper JNCIP are required; advanced cloud networking certifications (e.g., Azure Network Engineer Associate) are preferred.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, routing and switching protocols, and cloud-based network architectures.
- Experience with automation and scripting for network configuration, monitoring, or performance tuning is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Prior exposure to government programs, platform connectivity initiatives, or enterprise-scale digital services is considered a plus.
Preferred Tools:
- Cloud & Connectivity: Experience with AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), and hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect) for secure and scalable inter-cloud communication.
- Security Platforms: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, and Snort IDS/IPS for implementing network protection, intrusion detection, and traffic control.
- Networking Equipment: Proficient in configuring and managing devices from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, and Aruba, ensuring performance optimization and high availability.
