Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks to support company operations
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary improvements
- Ensure the security of network systems by implementing best practices and monitoring for vulnerabilities
- Manage and optimize network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and best practices
- Document network configurations, changes, and updates for future reference
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff on network-related issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking trends, technologies, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and architecture
- Experience with network hardware configuration (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies
- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices for network security
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel for technical documentation
- Expertise in Microsoft Visio for designing network diagrams and infrastructure layouts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
