1. Deep Dive Analysis & Root Cause Investigation
- Analyze operational data to identify root causes of network losses, including shrinkage, damages, and concessions.
- Perform detailed deep dives on recurring defects across the supply chain (FC/SC/LM/Transport).
- Audit sites and processes to uncover performance gaps and determine lossgenerating defects.
2. Process Improvement & Loss Elimination
- Invent or replicate solutions that address identified root causes, and track their impact.
- Standardize SOPs, metrics, and processes across multiple operational miles to reduce loss.
- Drive implementation of process or product solutions to eliminate losses and reduce operational waste.
- Lead or support lean/continuous improvement initiatives related to loss reduction.
3. Data Analytics & Reporting
- Use operational data, metrics, and analytical tools (Excel, SQL, visualization tools) to detect trends and determine improvement areas.
- Build frameworks and value-stream insights to help the business make data-driven decisions.
- Monitor performance metrics daily to evaluate success of mitigation plans.
4. CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Work with multiple teams (FC, SC, LM, transportation, ACES, Security & Loss Prevention, Products, Customer Service, etc.) to implement corrective actions and drive accountability.
- Partner with operations, continuous improvement, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to build visibility and execute mitigation plans.
- Influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders to drive consensus on solutions.
5. Operations Familiarity & Field Execution
- Gain hands-on understanding of operational processes across the entire supply chain.
- Conduct site audits and evaluate operational workflows to identify gaps and operational risks.
- Implement solutions directly in operations and monitor real-world adherence.
6. Project & Program Ownership
- Own end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives aimed at loss reduction.
- Prioritize competing tasks, manage timelines, and ensure systematic follow-through of defect reduction projects.
- Communicate results and progress to leadership teams.
7. Loss Reduction, Risk Control & Compliance
- Identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation measures for loss prevention.
- Support compliance with global standards, policies, and operational best practices.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field.
- 3+ years of program/project management or process improvement experience using data and metrics.
- For some roles, 5+ years of operations, wastereduction, or process improvement experience.
- Ability to analyze operational data and conduct rootcause investigations to identify defects and loss drivers.
- Skilled in identifying process gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities using data-driven methods.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to work with cross-functional teams (FC, SC, LM, Transportation, ACES, S&LP, CS, Product).
- Ability to negotiate and align multiple stakeholders on mitigation and improvement plans.
- Handson understanding of supply chain operations across Amazon's FC, SC, LM, and Transportation nodes.
- Familiarity with operational audits, SOPs, process assessments, and risk identification.
