Role SummaryResponsible for 24x7 monitoring, triage, and first-response handling of IT infrastructure, network, application, and security alerts. Ensures early detection of issues and fast escalation to maintain service availability in a mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor servers, networks, applications, and security alerts using NOC tools
- Perform first-level triage and classify incidents based on severity
- Create, update, and manage incidents in ITSM tools (ServiceNow / Remedy)
- Escalate issues to L2/L3 teams as per SLA and escalation matrix
- Execute runbook-based troubleshooting and initial response actions
- Support Major Incident Management (bridge calls, updates, coordination)
- Track SLA performance, incident trends, and shift KPIs
- Perform routine health checks (backup, DR, performance, connectivity)
- Prepare shift handover reports and operational summaries
- Support change windows, maintenance activities, and post-change validation
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software issues when required
- Ensure monitoring dashboards and alerts are functioning correctly
Skills Required- NOC / IT Operations monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, etc.)
- ITSM tools (ServiceNow / Remedy)
- Basic Windows & Linux troubleshooting
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls)
- SIEM awareness (Splunk / Sentinel / QRadar basic triage)
- Virtualization & backup awareness (VMware, Veeam, etc.)
- PowerShell / scripting basics (optional)
- ITIL incident, problem, and change management
- Reporting and dashboarding skills
Requirements- 2-5 years of experience in NOC / IT operations / command center
- Experience in 24x7 shift-based environments
- Exposure to enterprise IT infrastructure and multi-vendor setups
- ITIL-based operational experience preferred
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in IT / Computer Science / Networking
- CCNA / Network+ / ITIL certification preferred
- Strong communication, alertness, and incident handling skills
