Network Security Engineer

Scope of Responsibilities:

Provide onsite Resident Engineer support for the F5 platform, covering both Day 1 (implementation and deployment) and Day 2 (operations and support) activities.

Perform operational support, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration changes for the F5 environment.

Support F5 security solutions including: F5 WAF, F5 DDoS Protection, F5 API Security

Work closely with the F5 Distributor Cloud Delivery Team (India), who will provide engineering and escalation support where required.

Collaborate with the F5 Managed Services team for technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and complex issue resolution.

Maintain system health, investigate incidents, implement approved changes, and support service restoration activities.

Provide onsite support during business hours, with after-hours support when required based on project or operational needs.

Scope Model:
Resident Engineer will receive technical backing from: o Distributor Cloud Delivery Team (India) F5 Managed Services Team

Knowledge transfer and ongoing mentoring will be provided by the Managed Services team where necessary.

Skill Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with: Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS Protection, API Security

Experience with one or more application security platforms such as Cloudflare, Akamai, Imperva, or equivalent solutions.

Willingness to learn and support F5 products.

Good understanding of network security concepts and web application security.

Familiarity with cloud environments and cloud-delivered security solutions is an advantage.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote engineering, managed services, and internal network and cybersecurity teams.
