Job Purpose:
Support daily network operations, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including data center environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network connectivity.
- Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, VLANs, and network devices.
- Install and replace network equipment in data centers and network rooms.
- Perform network patching, fiber/copper cabling, labeling, and cable management.
- Support network changes, maintenance activities, and equipment relocation/decommissioning.
- Monitor network alerts and resolve technical issues within agreed SLAs.
- Maintain network documentation, equipment records, and change information.
- Follow data center safety, access, security, and change management procedures.
- Coordinate with senior engineers, vendors, and other IT teams when required.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Network Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Networks, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in network operations and/or data center environments.
- Hands-on experience with network equipment, cabling, patching, and rack installation.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
- Basic troubleshooting skills using tools such as Ping and Traceroute.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- CCNA certification is preferred.
- Ability to work in data center environments and participate in planned maintenance activities when required.
