We are building the world's largest plant to produce green ammonia at scale, providing humankind with a cost-efficient solution that will accelerate the worldwide green hydrogen economy. Located in NEOM and supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, NGHC will be integrating up to 4GW of onshore solar and wind energy to supply up to 650 tons of green ammonia per day for transportation globally. Liaise/Cooperate With: Maintenance and operating staff, project development and execution staff, business/process improvement staff, safety department

POSITION SUMMARY

Staff Asset and Reliability Engineer is a high-level technical position foundational to the operation and maintenance of the facilities.

NATURE & SCOPE

Staff Asset and Reliability Engineer drives improvements in asset performance, reliability, and lifecycle management. This role is key to ensuring our critical equipment and systems perform optimally while minimizing downtime and maximizing return on investment. This engineer combines deep technical expertise with strategic insight to deliver asset management and reliability engineering best practices, support maintenance strategies, and mentor junior engineers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

Asset Management:

  • Lead asset lifecycle planning including acquisition, operation, maintenance, and disposal strategies.
  • Develop and maintain the asset register and criticality rankings.
  • Analyze asset performance data to identify trends, optimize performance, and extend asset life.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations to develop capital and replacement plans.

Reliability Engineering:

  • Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA).
  • Develop, review, and refine preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using RCM principles.
  • Implement reliability improvement projects for critical assets and systems.
  • Monitor and optimize key reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR, asset availability, etc.).

Technical Leadership:

  • Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for condition monitoring, asset health, and reliability tools.
  • Lead cross-functional reliability improvement teams and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Interface with OEMs, vendors, and contractors to resolve complex technical issues.

Systems and Tools:

  • Utilize EAM/CMMS platform for maintenance planning and analysis.
  • Support implementation of digital tools such as APM (Asset Performance Management), IoT sensors, or data analytics platforms.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate asset health and reliability performance.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of maintenance and reliability engineering experience in an operating industrial plant with 5 years specifically related to reliability and asset engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management frameworks.
  • Proficiency in RCA, RCM, REX, FMEA/FMECA, Weibull analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance tools, maintenance data analysis and reporting methods.
  • Safety-conscious with strong knowledge of maintenance and safety consensus standards and best practices.
  • Familiar with regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of condition monitoring technologies.
