Role Summary:Seeking a proactive Monitoring & Support Engineer to manage alerts, incidents, and basic server/network checks.The candidate will handle infrastructure monitoring, incident response, documentation, and ensure timely communications, while also assisting in basic server and AD-level tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor alerts across tools and take appropriate action (e.g., node restarts, false positive filtering).
- Respond to and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
- Manage ticket lifecycle: reassignment, resolution, and closure.
- Perform basic Windows server checks: failover, services, utilization.
- Assist with user/group management via AD and Exchange.
- Maintain updated SOPs, trackers, and incident documentation.
- Communicate critical incidents (P1/P2) clearly within timelines.
- Follow professional email and phone etiquette during escalations.
Required Skills:
- Basic server admin (Windows), networking, and clustering knowledge.
- Familiarity with application monitoring and error code interpretation.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange.
- Strong English communication (written and verbal).
- Good documentation, stress handling, and decision-making skills.
- Perform Linux server health
- Troubleshoot Linux-related alerts, service failures, and performance degradation.
- Execute basic Linux administration tasks using shell commands.
- Monitor and validate cluster/failover status where applicable.
- Support patch validation and server operational checks.
Preferred Certifications:
- CompTIA Server+, Network+
- Microsoft MCSA / MCSE
- ITIL Foundation
