Job Purpose:
The role is part of Haleon's North Africa Consumer business and finance team. It reports into the North Africa Finance director and provides commercial finance partnership to the General Manager, Country Manager as well as the Marketing, Supply Chain, Commercial Expert and HR teams looking after Egypt market. It requires deep financial knowledge, commercial acumen, strategic insights, a broad perspective, rigorous analysis, proactive challenge and advice as well as project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering:
- Act as the primary contact point for the Leadership Team and their teams to advise on growth and margin opportunities
- Provide analysis, assistance, and advice to management as required by the Business Unit, Finance Director, General Manager and Leadership Team
- Actively participate in key projects and provide input to business case development and general financial and business expertise.
- Help create robust business cases for significant business decisions; analyse proposals brought forward for review.
- Business Analysis: Support Leadership Team in business analysis, forecasting and setting ambition for key brands and financial/commercial consultancy
Planning:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate submissions of forecasts, Plan and updates
- Run the Monthly Performance Review meetings (MPRs) with the GM, the FD and relevant attendees
- Consolidate and analyse any other information necessary for a healthy growth (Stock in Trade, price volume, Advertising &Promotion and overheads etc).
- Responsible for the consolidation, analysis and reporting of the forecast and budget as well as active involvement in plan reviews and presentation of plan.
- Manage the cost flip exercise to ensure there are no exposures after COGS are updated.
Reporting:
- Develop and prepare various internal financial and commercial reports along with related analysis and commentary as decision support tools for the leadership team.
Projects:
- Participate in key projects within North Arica and MEA to help grow the top line and improve profitability
Why You
Basic qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a FMCG multinational company
- High level of technical financial competence in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Management Accounting and Budgeting.
- Relevant finance experience and a proven record of success in a matrix environment working with multiple customers
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to proactively challenge and advise
- Experience of dealing confidently with senior management
- Broad perspective and business insight
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality outputs within deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
- Experience of developing creative business solutions
- Excellent powerpoint and excel skills
Preferred qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- MBA (with heavy finance components) or equivalent experience
- Effective knowledge of all accounting standards, including IFRS, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Delivering on value opportunities while balancing risk and opportunities (Stewardship & Governance)
- Developing highly effective working relationships and managing key stakeholders to achieve the partnership status with your business
