Role Description The Nurse role at GrabScholarship is a contract, on-site position based in Alexandria, Egypt. In this role, the nurse provides basic clinical care and health assessments for participants involved in travel and study abroad programs, including routine check-ups, triage, and monitoring of common health conditions. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating with local healthcare providers when referrals are needed, and ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols. The nurse also offers health education, preventive care advice, and support on vaccination requirements and travel-related health risks. Collaboration with program coordinators and support staff is essential to promote participant well-being and respond effectively to any health-related incidents.

Qualifications

  • Active nursing license in Egypt and completion of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience in clinical nursing practice, such as primary care, community health, or travel medicine, with strong assessment and patient care skills.
  • Knowledge of infection control, basic emergency response, and first aid; ability to manage common acute conditions and escalate care when necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations, including international students and travelers.
  • Ability to maintain accurate medical documentation and handle sensitive health information in line with privacy and confidentiality standards.
  • Comfort working on-site in a dynamic environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and participant needs.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic; additional languages are an asset for supporting international participants.
  • Experience in educational or international exchange settings is a plus, along with an interest in global health and cross-cultural collaboration.
