Nursery Music Teacher

Role Description The Nursery Music Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate music lessons for nursery-aged children, using songs, rhythm activities, movement, and simple instruments to support early learning and development. The teacher will introduce basic musical concepts in playful ways, lead group singing and music games, and integrate music into daily classroom routines. Responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, collaborating with classroom teachers, observing and documenting children's progress, and communicating regularly with families about musical activities. The Nursery Music Teacher also contributes to school events, rehearsals, and performances, while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications

• Strong understanding of foundational music concepts, including Music Theory and general Music knowledge.
• Demonstrated Music Performance skills, with proficiency in at least one instrument, preferably Piano.
• Background in Music Education, with experience teaching young children in a preschool or early childhood setting.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music activities for nursery-aged children.
• Relevant degree or certification in Music, Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field.
• Patience, empathy, and strong classroom management skills adapted to early childhood learners.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to inclusive, child-centered, play-based learning aligned with HEI Schools educational philosophy.
