Position Summary
Cairo American College (CAC) is seeking an experienced Odoo ERP System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize the school's Odoo Enterprise environment. The role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, security, integration, and continuous improvement of ERP modules supporting Finance, HR, admissions, procurement, inventory, and operations.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with an understanding of administrative workflows, data integrity, and user support in a complex environment.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience administering Odoo ERP.
- Certification in Odoo 18
- Proven experience supporting ERP systems in a multi-department environment
- English fluency
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Odoo architecture and modules.
- Experience with-
- Linux server administration
- PostgreSQL databases
- Python and XML (Odoo framework)
- Git/version control
- Familiarity with web technologies (NGINX/Apache, REST APIs)
- Experience with backups, monitoring, and system security
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
- Organized, detail-oriented, and documentation-focused
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a school environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Odoo Enterprise.
- Experience in K12 or higher education ERP systems.
- Knowledge of accounting, HR, and procurement workflows.
- Experience with cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance.
